Name: One Pillar Pagoda.

Location: One Pillar Pagoda Street, Doi Can Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi City.

Built: 1049.

Description: One Pillar Pagoda is one of the beautiful tourist destinations in Hanoi, always attracting a large number of tourists visiting every day. The pagoda was built by King Ly in the past in Thanh Bao village, Quang Duc district, to the west of the ancient Thang Long citadel. Currently, the pagoda is located on One Pillar Pagoda Street, right next to the relics of Ba Dinh Square - President Mausoleum in the center of Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.

Activities

One Pillar Pagoda is an architectural cluster of pagodas and buildings built under a square lake. The pagoda also has another name is Dien Huu, located in the population of Dien Huu pagoda on the Tay Hoang side of Thang Long citadel. With its unique architecture, posing like a stylized lotus rising from the water, One Pillar Pagoda is one of the symbols of Hanoi capital. One Pillar Pagoda can be visited at any time of the year. There are rituals on the 1st and 15th of the lunar calendar and near the Lunar New Year, visit One Pillar Pagoda to admire the lotus pink in full bloom.

Note: One Pillar Pagoda 100% free entrance fee for domestic tourists - are Vietnamese citizens. For foreign visitors, the applicable fee will be 25,000 VND / person. When visiting the temple, you should pay attention to dress politely and respect the rules of the sanctuary.
